Paul & Ann Marie moved from a row home modest in size that they had customized and made very comfortable over the years they spent there. When they bought a very nice single family home with a large yard they found although very fond the neighborhood they missed the upgrades and curb appeal that their former home had. Their complaint was that when you pulled up to their home all you saw was light tan and dark brown. The first thought was to go with a fashionable dark color for the siding and accents having the colors of the roof and siding compliment the brick they felt didn’t go so well presently. They also requested along with the replacement of the windows the addition of a bay window & full view glass entry door.
We created a computer aided version of the house using the darker colors; although they liked it they felt a lighter version may suit them better. We also added an OKNA half circle window above the front double windows in the garage. The window is actually in the floored attic space above the garage and allows the window to be decorated for the holidays; much like the bay widow on the front of their former home. When the project choices were made we had Adobe Cream siding with Buckskin shake accents along with cranberry shutters to add a punch of color and a roof of Golden Cedar blended light and dark brown that perfectly compliment the siding, brick front and new entry door. Paul & Ann Marie now feel at home in their new house.
